Who we are
A Swiss agency run by someone who studied medicine abroad himself
Medizinerschmiede is a student recruitment and placement agency registered in Bern, Switzerland (CHE-412.458.690). We work with applicants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland who want to study human medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or pharmacy at a European university — and we stay with them from the first consultation until graduation.
Our founder, Marcel Kloos, graduated from the English-language dentistry programme at the Medical University of Sofia and is a federally recognised dentist in Switzerland. He went through the entire path himself: the application, six years of study in a foreign country and language, and the recognition procedure back home. That experience shapes how we select and prepare candidates, and how we work with your faculty.

What a partnership with Medizinerschmiede gives your faculty
We do the work that usually lands on an international office: finding the right applicants, filtering out the wrong ones, and looking after students once they are on campus.
We screen before you do
Every applicant goes through an interview with us: school record, science background, English level, motivation and whether the family can carry the cost of six years abroad. Candidates who are unlikely to finish never reach your admissions office.
Prepared candidates, complete files
We prepare candidates for your entrance procedure and interview, and we organise the paperwork ourselves. Your team receives complete applications instead of half-finished enquiries in a language your staff may not speak.
On-site support that relieves your staff
Arrival, housing, residence formalities, bank accounts, homesickness in the first winter: our local contacts handle the day-to-day questions that would otherwise reach your secretariat, in the students’ own language.
Academic supervision
We organise tutoring and exam preparation for the pre-clinical years, where drop-out risk is highest. Students who pass anatomy and biochemistry on time stay enrolled — which shows in your retention figures, not just in ours.
Founder-led, from experience
Marcel Kloos took the same route he now advises on. He knows what a German-speaking student misjudges before departure, what a dean needs from an agency, and where recognition procedures at home actually become difficult.

How a partnership starts
Four steps, and the first one costs you nothing but a call
Introductory call
We introduce ourselves, you tell us about your programmes, capacity and admission requirements. We send our company profile and, on request, credentials from existing partners.
Written agreement
A cooperation or representation agreement setting out territory, tuition handling, commission and duties on both sides. Exclusivity for the German-speaking market is possible.
First intake
We open your programme to our community, screen applicants, prepare them for your entrance procedure and deliver complete files by your deadlines.
Ongoing supervision
Once students arrive, our on-site support and academic supervision continue, and we report back to your faculty on how the cohort is doing.

Reference letters from the dean’s offices of universities we already represent, including partners who work with us exclusively for the German-speaking market.
Company profile and registration
Our two-page company introduction, Swiss commercial register entry (CHE-412.458.690) and an overview of the agreements we hold with current partner universities.
Student references
Filmed interviews and written reports from students we placed, plus enrolment and progression figures for the cohorts we have sent to a given university.
